What a badass. I'll be pissed if the DA presses charges; any reasonable parent would have done the same thing. I hope his daughter can recover from the abuses.

Sheriff: Father kills man sexually abusing his daughter - CNN.com

Quote:
A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said.
The father was casually acquainted with the alleged abuser, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon.
Neither has been publicly identified.
The girl was left inside the family's house during the social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses, the sheriff said.
The alleged abuser was known for his horse-grooming abilities, Harmon said.
The father returned to the house, caught the man in the act, and stopped him by striking him in the head several times, Harmon said.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene, while the daughter was taken to a local hospital in Victoria, Texas, for examinations before being released.

If I were the dad, I'd have done the same thing.

If I were the DA, I would not be pressing charges.

That's what the abuser gets IMO. Very bold to assault a child like that. I hope she is okay and the dad doesn't face too much legal scrutiny.

This reminds me of a case that occurred when I was younger in my home state a lady caught a man sodomizing her son and she shot and killed him. She was acquitted since she caught him in the act and was protecting her child. I would do the same thing.

Not sure how it is out their, but here, that could be a forcible felony, so leather force can be taken.

The DA still can file, but what 12 jurors would disagree with this father and find him guilty!
