Just read this story - it is NOT a true crime story/situation but it is a True situation, a good true situation and I hope, if even for a short time, the moderator [smile] does not move or delete it.

And, the only reason I am putting it in for our reading pleasure, is because of so many recent horrific cases, and killings, and convictions and our many threads about not understanding the evil and cruelty of so many, I thought it might be a very pleasant change to know that there are still some really good people in this world who do good things!

After just posting the Child Rapist: 651 counts and finding that to be so awful - and reading the other threads that are posted about insidious behavior and horrible crimes, I decided to try to bring this thread back up to the forefront - again, it is not true crime - but with all of the muck and mire and horrendous stories that continue to hit CNN and other journalistic venues, I really think it is important to remind all of us that there are still some people who did good things!

This happened here in NY. That guy is a great man. He was offered a job the next day. May all his days be blessed!

Smile Just think....

If "good" stories like this were published more, would it help the moods of those depressed?

It seems the more negative we hear, the more there is.

Whenever I hear a story like this, it makes ME feel so much better.

Bette, I think you are absolutely right - it would be great, I think, for "our spirits" collectively to pepper this forum, at least on occasion, with a good story -- can help to remind us that there are still some good people in this world - especially when, me included, contribute to this thread with horrific and heart-wrenching true stories of sociopaths, unsolved crimes, rapes [like 651 charges by one perpetrator]; Sandusky [just using examples]; apathy; unreasonable plea bargains; parents murdering their children, etc.
