butbutbut...he's just an innocent 17 year old child, driving over to Target to buy some skittles and iced tea. He couldn't HURT anyone. She must have brought out the gun and shot herself while trying to use it on the innocent child.
How in the hell are you comparing this situation with Trayvon Martin's situation? The kid in this situation had a gun and killed someone. In the other situation, Trayvon Martin did NOT have a gun and was killed.
Is it seriously enough for you to compare the two just because both are black, 17 year olds?

The fact is, there are litterally hundreds of posts in the Martin threads decrying how he was such an innocent child, attacked by the big, bad man. As if a 17 year old was incapable of murder or assault. Washington is every bit as much a "child" as Martin was. That is the only similarity.

Then find an example of a situation where a 17-year old went up against a 20-something year old with a gun, and the 17 year old came out of the situation alive and relatively unscathed and the 20-something ended up dead or severely injured. That's a situation where the point you and OP seem to be going for could actually be made.
Trying to make that point with the OP's post is ridiculously idiotic.
Stop bringing up race, no matter what race or races are involved. Our kids, teens, are killig each other, for the most ridiculous of things.
No matter who is doing these acts, are just plain wrong. Are young seem to have no problem with just killing at will these days. Don't think about any consequences after the fact, just whip out the gun, take out the knife, use your fists, hands to strangle, they are killing each other.
At some points none of us are going to be able to walk freely down a Street anymore, hawnk a horn anymore, whistle anymore, somewhere this nonesense has to stop.
I am actually afraid to use my horn anymore, you just don't know the person your hawnking at, if they get violent or evil so your really taking a chance. Do they carry a weapon. We live in a very technical advanced world today, but a world none the less, the is getting scary.
It is not only one race, killing, the way i see it, all races are as guilty as the next.
People garner outrage when a 17 year old black kid is killed by a Latino (whom the media described as a white guy), but when the 17 year old black kid kills a white woman, it's an just opportunity to gripe about gun control.
