It's not confirmed, though.

Hope his girl friend knows self defense.............what a guy. Reminds me of old O.J. "legends in their own minds." Maybe they will lock Pistorius up and throw away the key.

Pistorius is breathing and strutting around and the poor girl he was so afraid of that he killed..................is not.

No murder charge, the equivalent of murder 1st degree, I can understand. There could be an argument that he fired through the door in a fit of rage, not expecting to kill or hurt her, but with his rage blinding any thought to the consequences of his actions.

But the fact that the judge actually believed his claim that he thought there was a bad guy in the bathroom and that he didn't know his girlfriend was asleep beside him? That defies all common sense and logic.

It truly does. On the Today show, they had a segment of a reporter inside Oscar's home. He had to reach under the bed to get the gun - so he couldn't whisper, "Reva, there's someone in the house."

I....don't understand this. She also disregarded Reva's texts, saying “Normal relationships are dynamic and unpredictable most of the time, while human beings are fickle.”

I hope people out there understand now that the system of white privilege and white supremacy primarily benefits white males first. Even at the expense of white women.

Curious decision to say the least, but the charge of culpable homicide seems more like manslaughter as opposed to a lower grade of murder.

I watched his testimony and thought his poor performance sealed his fate...but apparently the judge disregarded it...I believe when Oscar fired into that bathroom he knew exactly who was in there...was he enraged?... for sure...but I believe he had the intent to do Reeva bodily harm...I don't know what judges in South Africa call that...I call it parsing the facts into a light most favorable to the defense...

He probably get 5 years after good behavior or less but another ing is he will not be able to get into some countries. England and the US For example will not allow him to enter since he now is a convicted criminal/felon.

To me he was guilty if murder but not in the first degree but which person who has a partner doesn't look if the partner is in bed when they hear a sound and just start shooting through a door.

Yesterday something fell behind a closed door and was like what the heck happened and is someone hiding behind that door but I don't pick up a gun and just start shooting before checking what it could be.
