It's as if we are passing judgement and prosecuting someone whose only human contact may be with someone he has to pay to be with..So sad. Not because the guy is pathetic, quite to opposite, it's because we as a society push our moral judgment on him (Or her).

BINGO !

This reeks of entrapment !

If he paid her rent it would be legal to have sex with her.
If he pays her money that she uses to pay her rent , it is illegal.

Doesn't make sense to me.

This is the article from the Raleigh newspaper. One of the other men arrested is a prominent attorney in Raleigh.

WAKE FOREST: 6 arrested in Wake Forest prostitution sting, including champion poker player | Local/State | NewsObserver.com

Most of the comments following the article consider this a waste of taxpayers money and police resources.

He's not obscure in the poker community, he's still quite known, and quite successful. He's been killing it on the Heartland Poker Tour as of late. This is actually quite a surprise, he's got a squeaky clean, family man reputation.

When will society accept that actions between consensual adults should not be subject to government interference? Stop the Victorian era mentality.

I have watched cop shows on TV and a female cop will dress up like a hooker and some poor old 70 year old man will stop for a bj and gets arrested. This is like entrapment to me. There is dope pushers out there .... burglars .... sick-ohs molesting children ... rapes .... murders and the cops do these set-ups.
It was entrapment in North Carolina.
