I really don't like this either. I personally feel it's extremely unfair. I also feel sorry that people get arrested just for being horny and acting on that with an apparently willing, of-age partner who isn't being coerced.
It's as if we are passing judgement and prosecuting someone whose only human contact may be with someone he has to pay to be with..So sad. Not because the guy is pathetic, quite to opposite, it's because we as a society push our moral judgment on him (Or her).
Crimes against nature. Was the undercover officer a monkey? Seriously, I hope this attempt at shaming rolls off his back. Pay the fine and be more careful next time. People should care less about what consenting adults are doing behind closed doors, with or without an exchange of money, and more about actual "crimes against nature" like human trafficking, rape and child molestation.
He's not obscure in the poker community, he's still quite known, and quite successful. He's been killing it on the Heartland Poker Tour as of late. This is actually quite a surprise, he's got a squeaky clean, family man reputation.
I don't understand the crimes against nature charge either. Did the cops bring an animal with them or a dead body since necrophilia is a crime against nature too.
I have watched cop shows on TV and a female cop will dress up like a hooker and some poor old 70 year old man will stop for a bj and gets arrested. This is like entrapment to me. There is dope pushers out there .... burglars .... sick-ohs molesting children ... rapes .... murders and the cops do these set-ups.
It was entrapment in North Carolina.
