Justice has been served Ellijah. Soar with the angels.
In Charlotte today, Andre Hampton was sentenced to life in prison for beating his 23 month old son, Ellijah, to death in November 2008. It was a death penalty case but the jurors showed compassion with the verdict.
Hampton thanked his attorneys. He even thanked prosecutors who he said had shown that they “cared for my son.”
This is such a precious child to have suffered such a horrible death. Most parents that commit this type of crime don't normally receive this severe punishment. I feel any adult that harms, molest, beats a child to death should go to jail for life without parole or be executed. Children are innocent and totally dependent on that adult.

Apparently the 23 month baby didn't want to eat his soup
What kind of person gets that mad with a baby? I don't know how people can attack vulnerable creatures like babies, seniors or pets. It has to be some kind of mental illness.
I believe this is really misplaced rage against society at large, and helplessness of feeling marginalized. No excuse. But, this will continue to escalate among minorities, veterans, and others who feel frustration against a system that continues to create an underclass of workers who can never get off the treadmill, or even have a chance of improving their crap lives, barely making a minimal existence. Things are not improving for these folks. And the rage lashes out, on the most helpless in our society. This "Daddy" could not even "control" his kid...in a life of things out of his control, this broke the straw. Sadly. A microcosm of society at large, in this tragic crime.
