I just ran a Google search, and didn't really see any recent reporting.
I'm curious if people following this case feel the lack of developments in arresting alternate suspects has hurt the legacy of the 3 (?) Or is it just a dearth of physical evidence that's stalling any further progress on this case.
Misinformation abound in articles on many high profile cases. With an abundance available online, West Memphis Three was researched in True Crime during 2015; the thread has since been locked.
I'll update this post (or create another ) with links for those who like to research and decide for themselves.
Trial transcripts, trial video footage, Damien Echols medical records...plus +
The most plausible explanation that I've ever read about these murders is this:
The boys would play in the wooded area behind a truck stop. One day they walked upon a group of men who were having sex and smoking marijuana. If you listen to some of the original Aaron Hutcheson testimony (before he was being maniuplated and coached), this is relatively easy to piece together.
The day the boys went back without Aaron, they saw the men again. One of the men was the stepfather of one of the boys.
When the men (closeted bisexuals and truckers, guys just passing through) saw the boys, they captured them and murdered them in order to keep from being outed. The men did this because they knew the stepson had recognized his stepfather.
Wow these conspiracies are far out there. The 3 that were arrested are the culprits.
ridiculous theories, grown men having sex in the woods get spotted by bnch lilttle kids... so they grab them, brutualize them sexually mutilate one of them before killing them? sounds like acts of out of control teenagers then grown men smoking weed.
"oh those boys caught us smoking weed, they're gonna call the cops on us!, Kill em before they can tattle on us grown men.
do you really think grown men would react this was, nope sounds more like immature teens
Ho many of you as kids, would be playiong in the woods and encounterend older teens that would bully us just because we were smaller then them, that has happened to me many times in my youth, justthat the teens dodnt take it so extreme as these low lifes
These are all baloney put out there my defense attorneys

Your reading comprehension is sub-par. The men were having sex with each other. That's what Aaron Hutcheson describes in his earlier statements. Men "doing sex stuff with each other" and "smoking funny smelling cigarettes". The "weed" part is the minor detail.
And yes, in 1993 West Memphis Arkansas, ostensibly "straight" men being caught having sex in the woods behind a truck stop could have caused them to murder the boys. It's particularly believable within the theory that one of the men caught in the act of gay sex was seen by his stepson. This was before online dating apps and websites, and closeted bisexual and gay men would commonly seek sex with strangers at rest areas and truckstops, because they lacked any other means to find it.
That's the theory I've seen that makes the most sense, based on the Aaron Hutcheson testimony.

But what about sexually mutilating a young boy?,, doesnt that sound something more prone to be comitted by an adolescent?, again that points more to the teens then the step-father
Truckers passing through, stopping at seedy rest stops for gay sex, what would they care if some local boys saw them? they just gonna hop in their trucks and continue their haul.
