I have been googling the Thomas Hunter case on a weekly basis for 5 years. Disgruntled fired employee. Until the second killings my guess was random attack by someone in a state of meth psychosis.
I followed these cases as well...I am an Omaha native & used to live in the Dundee area where the first murders took place. I did not feel they were drug-related; everything I read made it sound more like a professional hit. This guy was fired from Creighton in 2001 and can really hold a grudge.
Someone who is that cold-blooded, and fairly good at covering his tracks, probably has been honing his skills for a long time. There are almost certainly more murders in his past; I think he got caught now because he was getting reckless after getting away with other crimes for so long. He moved around a lot, so hopefully all the cold-case depts. in the places where he lived will be looking into possible connections.
What makes you say there will be more murders in his past?
