Easy, that's assaulting an officer. I believe horses and police dogs are viewed as an extension of the officer.

I feel so sorry for police dogs and horses that are put in harms way. I know they are providing a valuable service, but I have seen videos where police dogs were sent in after a guy with a gun and the outcome wasn't good. Some will say better a dog or horse than a human, but the animals didn't volunteer for that job.

Hope they throw the book at the horse puncher, he looks like such an upstanding citizen in that picture.
