You probably remember this case. They were Dodger fans who brutally beat a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium.

The victim has "catastrophic" brain damage and is unable to care for himself.

At least one of the thugs smirked at the judge. They show no remorse whatsoever.

One received a four year sentence, but he will be released immediately for time already served, the other received an eight-year sentence. However, they both face federal charges and could serve more prison time.

Unbelievable behavior.

All stemming from a baseball game.

I'll take a wild guess that Senor Sanchez will be facing a judge again in his lifetime.

Personally, I feel the jail terms should be much longer.

I'm sure the judge that handed out the sentences was constrained by precedent.

I saw that, the one guy smirking. Wow, what a piece of work. Sad case.

I agree, the sentences don't seem very long when compared to the long term suffering and incapacity of their victim Bryan Stow. Cases such as this just make you lose faith in human nature, and perhaps the Judge should have added prison time in relation to Sanchez as this might have helped wipe the smirk off his face.

What is sad and scary is that little POS Sanchez will likely emerge from prison as a member of MS-13 and be even more dangerous than he is now.

I believe the smirk may have earned the one guy the extra 4 years. Nothing says "lock me up as long as possible" like showing contempt during your sentencing.

I do not understand their light sentences. Hopefully they will get what they deserve on the outside.
