A real estate agent in South Carolina is accused of kidnapping a woman who was found “chained like a dog” inside a metal storage container on his property — and may be responsible for the deaths of at least seven people, authorities said.
Over the past week, Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies have made shocking discoveries on a sprawling, wooded property owned by Todd Christopher Kohlhepp, 45, in rural Woodruff, S.C.
The woman held captive and "chained like a dog" was held for two months and watched the murderer kill her boyfriend.
As authorities searched the rural South Carolina property owned by Todd Kohlhepp, they walked up to a metal container — 30 feet long, 15 feet wide and 10 to 12 feet high.
They knocked on its side.
That, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said, is when the screaming began.
“Help me. Get me out of here,” came a woman’s voice from inside the metal box, according to Wright, who spoke with CNN.
Wow, his house is very secluded. Only trees around for about 500 or 600 feet.
