This is one of the worst abuse cases probably ever. Beyond words. They interviewed a few neighbors. One tried to make contact w/ a few of the children outside one time, but they "froze and ran," the neighbor said. Now, looking back she understands why. Another neighbor said he heard and saw nothing unusual.

How could this have gone on so long w/ no family member or neighbor knowing that something was this wrong?

Now that we have more details on this case (being followed in
an earlier thread), I think these 2 sickos need to be strapped down in
a restraint chair and put into a Hannibal Lecter mask at all times.

Apparently relatives did try to stay in contact with the family but were consistently rebuffed. (I will never understand why neighbors didn't intervene.)

Family photo in red t-shirts give an impression of 'family of the year' Jimbob and Michelle Duggar.

Unbelievable...Another Duggar type family of the year photo.

All the children’s names begin with the letter J, according to court documents that didn’t provide their full names.

They are sadistic trash, they look it in the photos (look at their eyes and demeanor) and have damaged those kids for life. Awful people that shouldn't be considered even human.

You know it's bad when one of the kids in the group that initially escaped got frightened of what the parents would do and actually ran back home. Luckily the other 2 were brave and notified police.

Two climbed out the window and one went back because they were afraid. The 17 year old is the one that followed through. They had planned for 2 years.

The 17 year old looked like a 10 year old.

There is quite a long thread on this in the Current Events forum.

These poor kids. The 22 year old only weighs 82 pounds.

I see now it's in the Current Events. Thought True Crime would have been more appropriate. Boy does this case make you angry. Falling through the cracks w/ no protection for these children in this day and age.

There are far too many people with all kinds of needs "falling through the cracks", like this country is about to
just say "s---w it" and just let everything go to pot.
