His life in prison sentence will pale in comparison to the judgement he'll receive after he dies.

In remembering the NOW pictures of all the people he killed, including an unborn child, ..........
it just irks me that tax dollars are being spent keeping this creep alive in his golden years.

AMEN! But I recently read that "Life without Parole" is actually cheaper for the taxpayers, because a death penalty sentence requires the state to do SO many things differently to house and otherwise take care of an inmate on Death Row.

That is where our legal system is screwed up. Found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and sentenced to death. Take them out of the courtroom and pitch them off a tall building, or give them swimming lessons in concrete underpants. More humane than what most of those who are sentenced did to their victims.

I remember reading the headlines of the Military Newspaper in Japan the day after these horrific murders. It was my first day in Tokyo and these murders stand out more than the fact, I had never been that far from home before at age 19. At that time August 1969 mass killings in our society were rare, so it really made the news for some time. Its a pity that Manson was just not exterminated like a bug. Although hanging would have sufficed. Sharon Tate's mother never missed a parole hearing in all those years after her daughters murder. Doing her best so that those involved would never be released.

I'm rather fond of the idea of contracting our prisons out to Turkey, Iran or some other Middle Eastern nation. Then, all the really bad criminals get to spend life there with NO possible hope of parole. Death is quick and painless; a lifetime in a prison like that might be a REAL deterrent... (I also like the idea, after ONE appeal, letting relatives and friends of the victim have about 5 minutes in a closed room with the convicted criminal)
I also realize that I'm leaving NO room for prosecutorial misconduct...

I agree especially the part of letting relatives and friends have the 5 minutes.
