Wondering if anyone has advice on a good place to get inexpensive landscaping stone? We have a backyard that is basically dirt, and is in desperate need of some stones. I can't even imagine how expensive this will end up being. Any advice is welcome.

You know, there are hollow covers that look just like rocks without the trouble and you can hide things like hose, etc. under them. I've seen them only online, though.

I've seen those... they even have them for covering satellite dishes. I was looking more for ground cover. We're going to do a flagstone walkway in some areas, but the rest of it needs something other than dirt that turns to mud w/the first drop of rain.

I am also looking for stone for the back yard. Fine stone so my dogs can walk naturally. One home I rented had river rocks and it was way to hard for the dogs to walk let alone play ball. I want a local stone place near casa grande. Thanks

There is a place out on Pinal just past Val Vista going toward I10....this is a review and if you go to their website it says Gilbert, but they are in Casa Grande. I'm not sure they have what you want, but maybe worth calling to see.

Here's your best bet, Md . . .

Bob's Material Supply
2341 West Wetmore
Tucson, AZ 85705
520 887-8180

Actually, there's a couple of Landscape Supply Yards in that area (Wetmore just East of the freeway) but this is the one I've used a few times.

Bummer, I'd imagine 2 1/2 years later she's figured out her stone needs , but the info can always be helpful for somebody else.

It's tough watching TV and Posting at the same time, Sierra.

! ! ! ! ! !

I meant to respond to Christa Pugh's post, not Md's.
