The old movies are what I'm having trouble with. I've found and received quotes from a few places that have no problem doing negatives, slides or prints to DVD; it's the movies, both VHS we took, and Super 8 my parents took in the 50's and 60's. I have cables (red, yellow and white) for my Sony Handicam so I can transfer those to DVD from my computer, but, again, the other movies. I appreciate everyone's help! I'm hoping once the holidays are over to make this my big project. 12 8" movie reels, 19 2" movie reels, 22 carousels of slides, over 2000 loose pictures/negatives and 14 large photo albums. If I can get it done, I'll feel incredibly accomplished!!

I'm not living in Tucson (yet), but a good deal for converting old movies to DVDs is at Costco. I suspect that Costco in Tucson offers the same services as the ones around here.

If you have a ton of prints, it's going to be much cheaper to get your own scanner and scan them yourself.

Good luck!!

Costco never crossed my mind. I will definitely look into what they offer. My current "all in one" printer/scanner/copier takes about 1 minute per picture to scan, so it would take me months to do all the pictures I have. I probably ought to think about upgrading.....

They send the originals out of town, so you have the same chance of them being lost like with any online service.

Default A good deal today for what you need

Tucson Deal of the Day | Local Daily Deals from Groupon

I'm not making any referrals here just thought that someone may be interested. The deal goes away tomorrow but it looks pretty good if you need it.
