Since Mike and I have moved to AZ much has happened. Biggest baddest things, stung by a scorpion and had to cut my long, long hair. And NO job. Other then that I really do love AZ, we have been on the go each weekend, such as last weekend, walk in the desert, roller derby and a fair. Loving it here except, yeah a job. I had to give up my job to move here and i am happy that I did but I need a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going totally insane with nothing to do, I am even trying to volunteer places and no one seems to want me, lol. I am tired of the spam, cant understand why some one would spam on some one trying to find a job.
So asking for help here in the tucson area.... any one know anyone? lol I am ready to do anything lol I am starting to get so depressed, I am a worker, I love working.... (Receptionist #1, Data Entry, and customer service) or like I said anything.

These are trying times everywhere in the country and Tucson it seems is no exception. Its hard out there as many are finding out. I myself had a hard time getting a job in my area, I went to a community college and got my CDL license. Although truck driving is not a high paying job business needs their goods transported no matter how hard the times are. My school training was paid for using a federal grant distributed through the local job service and was not a loan. I stay buisy most days and best of all I get a check each week. If you have a clean driving record and work hard you can pay bills with a driving job. I hope things get better for you soon!

You could try the many call centers here, season (holidays quickly approaching) is a very busy time for them and several do mass hirings to get through it.

Good Luck.

The holidays are coming...I bet department stores are hiring. If you are bored and want to volunteer, animal shelters could always use help and often ask for dog walkers. I've seen some help wanted signs around town but can't remember where I saw them. I think Jamba Juice on Wetmore/Oracle was hiring. It probably isn't your type of work, but it could be fun to do something different for a few hours a week. You could even apply at Starbucks and learn how to make great coffee drinks until something better came along?

A call center is where people call the 800 number of a company to place or check on orders, ask for customer assistance, order parts or service, any number of customer information/ordering centers. It's where you sometimes get outsourced technicians with foreign accents trying to help you with your customer service. Like "Peggy" in the credit card commercials...

My first job in Tucson was at a call center. I've been reading in the paper about various call center openings and hirings and there are already quite a bit in Tucson. It's a good way to get some money coming in and you can then apply for jobs as you're working. It looks better when you interview if you already have a job.

I had some luck at the local temp agencies, but "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" so they say. You have to keep on them. Also, indeed.com is a great place to find work anywhere. I am working full time currently but looking to make a change and I've found probably 20 postings to apply to over the past few months. I have a couple options now so I'm waiting to see what pans out.

The job market is TOUGH. There is no denying it. But keep at it, broaden your scope as much as you can, get some classes under your belt if you can and just don't give up. It'll come.

good luck and keep us posted!
