Hi, I've just moved out to Tucson with my boyfriend. We're always looking for interesting things to do, but seemingly we always find out about events we'd have liked to go to after the fact. Does anyone know of a good place to look for an event listing that has the major events in Tucson?

Also, are there any good groups that go hiking/geocaching/other outdoorsy stuff that would be alright for a couple out of college? Most of the groups I've seen have been for singles or college students.

Hello, this website lists some events: Tucson Arizona Vacation and Travel Info - Hotels - Restaurants - Official Tucson Visitors Bureau Also, grab the newspaper (AZ Daily Star) on a Thur. and you will find a weekly insert called Caliente. It also lists events, restaurants, movies, etc. As far as groups, the only thing I can suggest is to look around on the Meetup website and see if there is something you are interested in. I know there are hiking clubs, just don't know what they are called or where to find them. Good luck!

Addendum to the AZ Daily Star comment, every Thursday has the Caliente section. I always find interesting things to do in it, and often it's cheap or even free. If you haven't been, make sure you go to 2nd Saturdays Downtown each month, ESPECIALLY this coming month, February. It's the centennial celebration. Also Meet Me @ Maynards is an interesting way to meet people, get some exercise, learn some history about Tucson, eat good food, listen to free live music....every Monday @ 5:30, all weather, including holidays.

I'm pretty sure meetup.com will having hiking groups, etc. and pretty much any interest you have.

Good luck!

On the AZ Star website Welcome to StarNet - Tucson, Arizona if you scroll down to the very bottom of the page there is an entry "events calendar" . It allows you to list all the events going on.
