Oro Valley Inn & Suites (used to be a Holiday Inn Express), Hampton Inn on Oracle, or Towne Place on Rudasill. Everything else around there that's decent is a resort and will be above your price range in March, as that's the high season.

Someone else alluded to it and, yeah, the Whole Foods in Arizona suck. I lived in Texas for years and got spoiled with the quality of them there. The take over of Wild Oats didn't really improve the locations very much.
I really don't get the Oro Valley thing, if that's where you're planning on living. A much less progressive, character-less suburban sprawl.

Here is a link with reviews,Oro Valley Deals - Special Hotel Deals for Oro Valley, AZ - TripAdvisor
And reading that you are a veggie person you might also be interested in the Oro Valley Farmers Market, it is held every Saturday morning at the town hall. Lots of organic goodies!

Thank you! On paper it just seems that we might like Oro v and it's near the church too. Also looks like a good place for our business in a few yrs. but again it's all an open book and still trying to narrow down its just not easy to do. I wish I could take a quiz or something and the answer would just pop out... 'this is THE town for you' lol
Oh and what exactly are the 'season' months? Do prices drop only in summer months? Also can't seem to narrow hotel search for Catalina FH I figured that would be a good in between of Tucson and Oro v which would help cover more ground. I'm searching on tarmls but can anyone recco a realtor to show him around and ck out a hand ful of rentals to get a feel?

Still taking reccos on areas near the points in my earlier post thx
