My wife is going to be furniture shopping in Tucson by herself . We don't want high end furniture because when me move there permanently, will be bringing most of our good furniture from Maryland. So can anyone recommend a mid-level furniture store or chain in the area? Thanks in advance.

Sam Levitz might be what you need to get you by for a few years.
Welcome to Sam Levitz furniture
Not too far from where you are in Sunflower, it's at Orange Grove/Thornydale. Just hop on I/10, exit at Orange Grove and it is 1 block to the east on the NE corner.

Fear not, Tom . . . there are no "high end" furniture stores in Tucson.

! ! ! ! ! !

I agree with Rick's recommendation. Either that Sam Levitz or their "outlet" on Prince and I-10.
