I'm curious if anyone knows of places to sail near Tucson. The closer the better, but I'm willing to travel for some open water. We have a 20 ft. sailboat. Thanks!

Read up on Lakes at this website....nothing around Tucson. Your drive time from here would be at least 2 hours....

hahahahahaha

you must be kidding.

If there was any actual bodies of water near by, I wouldn't complain about Tucson as much as I do.

In terms af a REAL body of water you're out of luck. I'd recommend getting a model boat and sailing it in a swimming pool or your bath tub.

Remember, mhoddi . . . Tucson is in the Desert Southwest!

The two rivers, The Rillito and The Santa Cruz, only contain water during the rainy seasons!

Well, I suppose you could take it to Rocky Point (Puerto Penesco) Mexico on the ocean. Not sure what's involved (if anything) permit-wise though.

Yeah, thought about suggesting Lake Patagonia too - but it seems to me it's a bit too small and narrow for a sailboat. Motorboat would be OK though.
