JohnnyWalker2 would you rank those schools above Oro Valley and Vail schools?

Moving Again---Tanque Verde schools are fantastic. Vail schools are also excellent. I think both are 10 out of 10 type school districts. For someone going to the base from Oro Valley it is a haul I wouldn't want to do. Tanque Verde and Sabino area are expensive though. if you can afford TV or Sabino you get less cookie cutter style homes and the Outdoor recreational activities are great.

I lived in San Antonio for 5 yrs. This dry heat is easier to cope with. Plus, in SA, my arthritis hurt EVERY day, including my broken tail bone.

I hope you will enjoy Tucson.

Even though you've lived in high heat and humidity, the months of 100+ are wearing for many people. It's like being baked alive. Still, I loved my time there. Bring a potholder with you on errands, for touching your car. I had a potholder hang off my purse (very chic) the whole time I lived there.

I think you will love how quickly things dry there!

I loved the Bear Canyon area, might be too spendy but it was lovely.
