First, I will admit I am a want-to-be-a-snowbird person with auto plates from the distant north.

Second, the homes we can afford in Tucson are in the south part of the city, which hints at mixed neighborhoods. This bothers me not at all, but is it safe or do I need to put a lock on my steering wheel, have a high fence, carry mace, never go out at night or some such. To get a good deal on a small house then be a prisoner has little appeal.

Thanks, Floatingbridge

I guess my first question would be...how much do you "ideally" want to spend/afford? There are other pockets to get you into.
