I'm a recent grad moving to Tucson soon. Apparently anywhere in AZ is difficult to get a job.
Any other RDH's out there with advice? Or anyone who can give me info on temp agencies?

Did you graduate from school in Arizona? I ask because I'm wondering if it's a licensing/educational issue which makes it difficult for people to find work doing this this in Arizona.

Is there a reason why you've chosen to move to Tucson instead of Phoenix? The latter will certainly have much more employment-related opportunity.

Also, I agree with the above poster: look in the licensing requirements for RDH's in Arizona. I just did a quick Google search and learned that RDH's must be licensed by the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners. Obtaining a license is a multi-step process.

As an aside, it's rather difficult to secure employment in Arizona before moving here because Arizona is a very transient, "revolving door" state (many residents are constantly moving in and out) similar to Florida. Likewise, it's just as difficult to secure employment in Florida prior to physically moving there. Chances are good you're going to have much better luck finding a job after arriving in Arizona and obtaining a license here, if you already haven't.

I'm originally from Tucson and moved back after school. I graduated from a school in this state and have my license to practice here. So... anyone know of any temping agencies?

mistake #1, moving back to Tucson. i'd agree if you said you just retired, but for work in your field you need a bigger city.

One thing we noticed during our last visit was the dental offices. There seemed to be offices everywhere. We spent most of out time in the northwest/north/northeast areas but it seemed odd at number of offices.

due to lack of insurance coverage lots of people have bad teeth. offices are indeed all over, Perfect Teeth and Gentle Dental are like Walgreens, one on every corner.
