I've only been here about 10 years. The only bad dust storms I've seen in the Tucson area were around Eloy and Picacho around I10 (as others have mentioned above).

The only haboobs (huge dust storms) I've seen were in Phoenix.

Lots of good information about the dust storms, Haboobs, and affected locations. Thanks to all for sharing!

It might also be of interest to know that if you are driving and one of these storms hits, or is approaching, you should pull over to the side of the road/interstate, turn OFF your engine, and turn OFF your lights/hazards. The thinking on that is #1 safety because you can't see to drive, #2 turn OFF your engine so you don't suck the dirt into your engine (close your external air vent to so it doesn't filter the dust inside your vehicle), and #3 if you have your lights/hazards on then people behind you think you're moving and will hit you so TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS/HAZZARDS!! Be safe !!
