Hi, I am trying to find a bank in the Sierra Vista/Tucson area where I can get a mortgage on a manufactured home. I am in Wisconsin and the home is in SV. It is now lien-free but I would like to take out a mortgage on it. So far the banks I've talked to say they won't lend money on a MFH. There are so many around - somebody must do it! Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, Headin4AZ . . .

Sounds like this is just another negative result fueled by all the Deadbeats and Scumbags who chose Foreclosures and Short Sales over facing their obligations.

Have you tried contacting a Credit Union as they usually play by a different set of rules when it comes to lending money?

Good Luck

I thought you had to live in the same state as the credit union in order to be a member? I know our credit union here won't give us a mortgage on a house in another state.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I put "manufactured home loans Tucson" into a search engine and got a lot of hits. You may find what you need there.
