Hello my gardening buddies!! Hope this finds you all well.

Anybody out there in the Tucson area got any experience with a Letizia Fig Tree? According to Burpee at maturity it's 8' high and 4' spread, which is perfect for my planting space and quantity of harvest, and will do well in this climate. Here are my questions...

1. What is the diameter of the trunk at maturity? I'm guessing maybe 4"-6".
2. Fig trees are notorious for invasive roots. With the smaller size of this variety... Do you think the roots would be invasive? Should I plant it in the ground or in a container?
3. Stark Bros. has a Strawberry Pyramid Planter (3 tiers, 6' diameter, self-watering kit, and 50 Ozark Beauty Strawberry plants...it's their Item# 133188). Do you think I could plant the Letizia Fig in the center of the top ring and then plant all the strawberries around it in the rest of the planter?

Here's the gist of what my backyard is... The space in my West facing backyard where it will live is in the middle of a 12'x12' open space. Along 2 sides are pavers that make up my patio, the 3rd side is a raised retaining wall for a vegetable garden (most West facing side), and the 4th side is a block wall.

Thanks in advance to all!! Have a great day and enjoy this wonderful weather we're having!!

I'm ignorant on the subject of figs, but I have heard they will grow here. Good luck.
