Hello:

I am currently thinking of moving to Tucson. Can anyone please give me an estimate of how much i should expect for a water bill a month. It's just me and my girlfriend living in a one bedroom apartment. No Washer or Dryer.

Thanks!!

I agree . . . rarely do apartment complexes have separate water meters.

However, sometimes a complex will "average out" the total bill and make that a separate add-on to the rent but that amount should, or at least could, be stated up front.

As a heads-up to the OP and in an attempt to be a little more helpful than I was in my original reply, the utility you really want to worry about is electricity. Check out this recent thread for some info:

I believe there are some older threads that talk about this as well; the search function should lead you to those.

Hello
I live in a one bedroom apartment with a washer and dryer. I don't use the dish washer, and I usually wash one to two loads of clothes a week. I just received my water bill for last month, which is $36.29. This includes cost for water, sewer, trash, a trash administrative fee, and a service fee. This bill comes from a company other than the apartment complex. I think the water usage is averaged over each building, maybe the entire complex.

Tap water here in Tucson is hard water. I have been told it is preferred to use filtered water for cooking and drinking. This apartment complex provides a filtered water machine for the residents, I don't know how much it cost to use. I usually buy drinking water from the local grocery store. Figure on paying around $1.00 per gallon.
