adult disability programs in Tuscon Az. (Tucson: rent, income, living in)

Hello, I am thinking of moving with my disabled adult son to Tucson and wondering if anyone there can give me some information as to services and programs.

Programs
In looking at a place to move to I did my homework and Az state has always lead the list for states that provide services. However what is on paper is not often the reality on the land. . so to speak. I know how to apply - how the system works but I do not know exactelly what a day program looks like on the streets of Tucson Az. What sort of living conditions look like first hand.

Safety
The other thing that I would like someone to comment on is the safety of Tucson for a disabled person. Of course he would not be living in the best part of town because of the income he has. But there has to be low rent area that are safe and acceptable to live in - could you tell me where they are?

Jobs and Transportation
He is rather high functioning and has held jobs before using a job coach. He has used public transportation such as bus and train to get himself places.

Medical
The other thing that I would like some imput for is cancer treatment and medical centers. I have Lymphoma cancer and have to have chemo treatments and care for the rest of my life - want there will be of it. So if you could give me some invofmation as to the quality of cancer care in the area I would appriciate it.
