I am looking for a rental and have been using TARMLS.com, but it is so unreliable. It very often does not even load properly. Does anyone know of another rental listing site that I can use to find a house. I'm not interested in apartment listings, only houses, and I'm thinking specifically in the Oro Valley area at this point.

If you're trying to avoid a realtor, JRabbit . . . have you checked the local online classifieds?

It's not that I'm trying to avoid a realtor, I'm just not in town yet and am looking for sites that will show me pictures of the neighborhoods and what's available.

It's not clear to me whether you look to rent a house or buy a house. In either case, there are plenty of ads on craigslist.

I'll DM you something, too.

That makes it rather tough, JRabbit.

A big plus is that your search is focused in Oro Valley. "Bad" neighborhoods are almost non-existent.

Good Luck

That's cool that you're focusing in on Oro Valley. Before our move, we checked out a ton of online listings. Once we got here, we spent lots of time driving around checking out some of the listings we found. Let's just say that some places represented very well online, but in person were a whole different story.

We saw one place that looked great. While driving through the neighborhood we saw a car up on blocks, two cars with slashed tires and several houses with towels, sheets and cardboard for curtains. Doubt you'll see that in Oro Valley though.

Phew. That's nice to hear. My husband is really concerned about the commute from Oro Valley, but with a newborn and a 2.5 year old I really don't want to be a stay-at-home mom in a neighborhood where I'm scared to have the kids out playing.

Do you have any idea exactly what part of Tucson you plan on relocating?
