Hi. I'm a 57-year-old widow looking to move to Arizona because in Florida my allergies are totally out of control. I'm friendly and social. I do go to church regularly. I drive when necessary but also enjoy biking and taking public transportation. I need a 1/1 that takes cats and isn't in a scary part of town.

My budget isn't huge but I do exceed the limit for subsidized housing by a small amount. I can afford up to $650 for rent. I currently live in a mobile home that is getting older and will need a lot of work I can't afford to pay for.

I don't want to live with all old farts....I like a nice mix of people as long as they don't party all night and are considerate of others. I have 13 grandkids and one on the way so kids don't bug me. I just want a relatively quiet, safe place to call home, and hopefully get a break from my allergies. I've lived in college towns before and actually enjoy the atmosphere. In fact I'm thinking of going back to school -- again.

Any suggestions of places to check out -- or avoid -- would be welcome. Thanks!!

Trisha

I live in an indep living facility. One of our long time residents moved to an apt this past winter, called one of our employees and told her she loves it there, so I am sending to you. It is on the east side, there is a chain grocery store nearby, good location.

The rent is a bit more than you want but if you don't find anything to your liking you might check out the apartment community (below). You could stay there and be looking for something cheaper and if so, move.
