It has felt really cold to me. Especially after being here in the summer. I have the heat on all the time. In fact my heating bill is much higher than my cooling bill was this past summer!

Here's the 10 day forecast currently for Portland, OR (where I'm going today)...rain and snow every day for the next 10 days. This has been an incredibly cold February with no end in sight.

Where I live currently in the Tri Cities, Wa, the high temp over the next 10 days is forecast to be 25F with some days a high temp in the teens. I wish I was in Arizona right now...at least I'm headed down late Feb to early March....can you heat it up a bit by then?

I really feel for you man! I moved here from The Eugene/Salem area of Oregon, so I know how it goes. Much worse in the Tri-Cities area. C'mon down, we will try and have some 70's and 80' lined up for you!!!

I think the difference, at least for me, has been the clouds. It is much easier to take the 30's and 40's with abundant sunshine. It makes all the difference to me. Without that sun on the skin, it feels like Oregon!

^^^ Glad it's not just Texas. DFW and I swear we have not seen the sun in months. This winter has been over cast almost every single freaking day. Like living in Seattle.

Yeah our plan is to start wintering in Phoenix area starting next winter....I would hate a long run of cloudy days. Overall how do you find the Green River climate compared to mid-Willamette area? I lived a few years in Salem area and hated the gray winters.

I posted in another thread about what I read about the potential climate change effects for Tucson, let's hope there's not a thread of truth to it, but one prediction has Tucson becoming more tropical, due to the warming of the oceans, and rains pushed northwards from both the Caribbean and the Pacific.

Out in the garden today and clouds, clouds, clouds. I escaped from MN due to having SADD and I can take one day of clouds, but if this continues for a second day I'll be looking at potential depression tomorrow.

I am SO glad I do not live in Seattle right now.......what a disaster it is! Although this has been a cloudy, wet and cool winter in southeastern Arizona, it has been MUCH worse in other places. For that, I am appreciative!

My wife and I have LOVED the climate in the Green Valley/Southeastern Arizona area compared to the gray winters of Oregon. I am sure.....at least I hope that this winter is an aberration. My wife lived in Oregon for 40+ years, so the thought of moving here was pretty frightening to her. It did not take her long to appreciate being warm and waking to sunshine on most days. I am hoping that this winter will mean that we have an explosive Spring, and that al the animals have had their fill of water.
