Advertisements

I have some odd and ends of old jewelry--broken chains, single earrings--that I'd like to sell.

Pawn shops and places that advertise that they buy scrap usually don't pay much.
Anybody know a regular jeweler that buys gold, silver, and gems? In Tucson or nearby.

I also have some nice pieces to sell. Any suggestions?

These are taking up too much space in my safe deposit box...

How much safe it's to buy jewelry online? You can contact some local shop and also give a search on google for a better response.

I sold sterling silver scrap on eBay for years. It's popular with people who melt it down to cast their own designs.

One thing to remember about precious metal jewelry (other than it really needs to be gold or silver and not goldplated or silverplated) is that you won't get anywhere near the spot price for it.

As for the nice pieces, occasionally a jeweler will offer vintage pieces on consignment. They won't buy outright.

Maybe I'll try selling it on eBay. Have to get a good scale, which will probably cost about what the scrap is worth.

That's a good idea to sell it on eBay.
