After reading post after post dated over 10 years ago, I thought it's time to hear what residents think about Quail Creek in this decade.
Usual story, we are considering a relocation in the next year or two. We've toured Quail Creek, we really liked it, however I keep reading posts from 2007 2008 and more about Water, Trains, and prices. Oh... and the heat naturally. We have a long hair German Shepherd so July - early October is kinda spooky, we love that dog!
Please chime in and tell us in your words about Quail Creek AZ. Thanx

We looked at QC for retirement in 2016. It’s a designed community, huge in scale, with a golf course for those interested. Ultimately we decided it wasn’t for us because of its bee-hive feel.

Default Good to hear from you Tim

Thanx for the input Tim, we like the gated feel of Q C, however we realize there is a lot to learn, after all we spent about two hours there. We plan to return when it hotter to see if we can handle the heat.
We're looking forward to others posts. Thank you.

If you are curious about the future expansion plans of Quail Creek, there was an article in July 2019 in the Green Valley News. It said that Robson planned to bid at auction on the 614 acres north of Quail Creek that it has been leasing from the Arizona State Land Department. I don't know the result of the Sept 2019 auction, but it said the land is east of Old Nogales Highway and South of Santa Rita Road.

The article said that Robson is also leasing a 474-acre parcel west of it along with nearly 2,400 acres on five parcels just south of Quail Creek.

This is a long-term consideration, but may factor into your decision. The Green Valley News also had an article recently about plans for another recreation center to be built in the future at Quail Creek to accommodate the growth of its residents.
