Xfinity (Comcast cable) offers 1 year special pricing for internet and cable. Most people (aside from some gamers or large numbers of users in same house) are fine with 40-50 Mbps internet, so anything more than that is extra speed that you probably don't need.

We have Comcast and it's about $100 a month for internet only. Very reliable for us as we have two people that require internet for work that can't go down in our house.

Had one experience last year with Comcast that made me loyal. Working from home and notice a repair tech walking up my driveway. He comes to the door and said that they were doing random spot checks around our neighborhood and noticed the signal around my house was not up to the standard. Could he walk around and check the wiring? Let him in the house, he ran some more tests and sure enough there was a slight issue that we had no idea about. Fixed the issue and our already fast internet started running even faster.

"doing random spot checks around our neighborhood and noticed the signal around my house was not up to the standard"

He wasn't checking your signal levels. He was using a signal sniffer to chasel leakages from Comcast's and customers' hardware that interferes with local radio, TV, and aeronautical communication systems.

He apparently found a bad coax connection inside your home that allowed Comcast's closed and cabled signals to be "heard" beyond your property line.

Absent any trouble calls from you, Comcast doesn't give a rat's about your signal levels.

BTW, I'm paying Comcast $49 per month here in Indianapolis for 50 megabit internet only service after the introductory discount expired.
