In Green Valley, my experience has been that when snow hits, most people stay home ... except the Midwestern snowbirds as they think that they are experiences in snow. However, many of them do NOT have a lot of experience on UNTREATED roads as northern states generally salt their roads heavily. On the day of this snow, around 9 am, there were four vehicles in ditches between Pima Mine Road and Sahuarita Rd.
Too bad for the people that ended up in ditches, I am sorry for them. I guess it is all about risk tolerance, and I would not risk going out in snow around here unless there was some pretty urgent reason!

^^^

I stay off the roads during snow storms not due to my inability to drive but because I do not want to risk getting clobbered by someone who doesn't.
