I have been in contact with Pima County for nearly 5 years in a quest to get the street I live on paved because it is in extremely poor condition. The story is long, so I will just say that Pima County moved from measuring road condition with a system called PASER (Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating) which is a visual system that provides ratings from 1 to 10 with 1 being failed and 10 being excellent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavemen... to a new system called PCI (Pavement Condition Index) which is a statistical measure and has a more granular scale of 0 to 100 with 0-to 10 being failed and 85 to 100 being good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavemen... Calle Montanosa got a PCI rating of 25 (serious) and Calle Lecho got a PCI rating of 31 (very poor). Since these two streets constitute the sub-division of Foothills 1, under the "worst roads first" methodology for allocating resources for road repair, they made the list for paving this fiscal year 2020/2021. If you are interested in seeing the PCI rating of your street, please see: ttps://webcms.pima.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_6/File/Government/Transportation/Roadway%20Maintenance/Local_Road_RepairList.pdf

Our streets are to be paved 3/19 thru 3/21 of 2021, so in a week or so, I will bring you another video after the work has been completed.

I would like take this opportunity to thank Pima County Supervisor for District 4, Steve Christy, his Green Valley/Sahuarita representative, Tom Berezny, all the folks at the GVC (Green Valley Council), and all the folks at the Pima County Transportation Dept. In addition, I would like to thank those neighbors that followed up with emails to the folks mentioned above to keep the issue of the condition of our streets on their radar.

Congrats on getting your street paved, and losing the distinction of being the 'worst street in Green Valley'! All the time you put in is paying off handsomely -- your cars and your neighbors' cars will thank you! Nice to see this.

You are most kind wildflowers27! I know myself, my cars, and my neighbors will very much appreciate not hearing and feeling the "ka chunk, ka chunk, ka chunk as we drive down the street!!! This is a huge win not only for myself and my neighbors, but others who live on terrible streets in unincorporated Pima County!!!
