My house is on one of their trails, and they have been coming by for years. I only put the water out a few weeks ago because we have not had any real rain for quite a while. This time of the year, they come and eat the prickly pear and hedgehog and barrel cactus blooms (the deer do the same thing), in the fall, they come by and eat the mesquite beans when they drop from the trees.

I love the idea of claiming them on my taxes, good idea!!!
