Have not been to Arizona in 25 years and my wife and I are planning a trip to Tucson. Can anyone recommend a nice, moderately priced hotel that would be in a good tourist location? Thank you.

If we're allowed to post links from other sites, the Tucson Travel Forum on Tripadvisor seems to be quite active with suggestions on where to stay and what to do in Tucson:

JW Marriot Starr Pass is in a beautiful location of the Tucson mountains, and very close access to downtown and fourth avenue.

In the summer, they typically will run specials with rooms around $94/night.

Hidden gem is Ritz Carlton in Dove Mountain, absolutely beautiful and tranquil resort. Not at all close to attractions, etc, but that is the appeal. And will cost you a few fazoles a night...not cheap.

My daughter worked there and snagged us a free room for the night and a heavily discounted meal. Had the chef prepare a meal especially for us and they comped us about half the bill. Still walked out almost $250 lighter in my wallet. But it was probably one of the top five meals of my life.
