The first part of this video shows you a couple of minutes of an early morning thunderstorm (6:30 am) on 9/26/2021. This morning storm was relatively peaceful with a few shots of lightning and some loud thunder plus a good amount of rain! In the afternoon, it was a different story. We got an alert of a severe thunderstorm for our area. Thankfully, we did not see any of the hail or high winds associated with that alert, but to the northwest of us, I am sure they did. What most of the second half of this video documents is constant thunder from numerous lightning strikes for three plus minutes that I recorded. It actually went on past that for at least another few minutes. I would guess that we got another .50 inches of rain at my location from these two storms. It has been a monsoon season for the record books for this part of Arizona, and we sure are thankful for all the rain!!!

Wow, that thunder went on and on and on...! Interesting there was almost no wind - maybe it had to do with that shelf-like cloud formation sitting right over you. Glad your earth is banking all this water. I keep thinking this has to be your last rain of the season and then you keep having more!

I have never heard constant thunder before, it was really weird! Yes, I sure hope we are adding billions of gallons of water to the aquifer! I too am surprised by the continued rain, but I love it!!!
