I clicked it, but there's nothing there, just a map.

Imagine a pin in the center of the map. I tried, but was in too much of a hurry to put one on.

Are you saying Sasabe?
Been there twice, there's a border but very little on the US side and even less on the Mx side.

And that is why there is a good place for folks without passports/papers to cross. From there you can almost straight shot up through Vekol Valley, more of the paperless thoroughfare from MX to the USA.

My husband went to San Felipe with his brother last week. Heading back, bro realized he had forgotten his passport. Called his girlfriend and got the passport number, but she pointed out that it expired months ago.

Coming back through Calexico, they scanned and examined hubby's passport, but just glanced at his brother's driver's license and waved him through.

Go figure.

^^ The official rule is Americans need a passport to reenter the US from Mexico... but it's rarely enforced. At most, you will get scolded by CBP or sent to secondary for further inspection.
My sister refuses to get her passport and has visited Mexico at least 10 times since the rule was implemented, her drivers licenses (no real id) always seems to be good enough.

The guy likely had warrants OR was smuggling something back that he should not have.

There were 365 murders in Nogales Mexico in 2021. I'll get my teeth fixed, see a real physician if I'm sick or do my shopping North of the border. I value my life more than value money.
