When I called up White Castle Tucson, I got the address of 1900 E. 5th Street, and I got my hopes up, then I find out it was 1900 E 5th Street, Tempe, Az.

I don't know why it's taken so long for White Castle to expand westwards. When I lived in Las Vegas, they opened the first White Castle on the Las Vegas Strip, and there were lines 2 blocks long to eat there. It was wildly popular and the Mayor Of Las Vegas was there for its opening. Since then, they opened another in DT Las Vegas.

Yes, the White Castle sliders you buy frozen are quite good in themselves, but it would be nice to see one open here, but where?

It's all about logistics. Sure they could open a store here, but can they keep it supplied easily with burgers and do it profitably?

Plus never doubt the planners down at the county and city to chase folks away. I've heard through the grapevine that so far they've chased away a few stores that have already expanded to the Phoenix area and are searching for locations down here.
