I am finding a hard time finding my mother an apt here. She is in TN and her situation has changed and needs to relocate here closer to us. She is disabled and qualifies for section 8 in TN because of her low income situation. I talked to the Section 8 office and she said that I can't put in her an app because section 8 has been closed for 2 yrs and she don't know when it will open again. So, what do low income people do for housing in this area? I live in Marana so I am trying to find something on this side of Tucson.

Thanks for any and all sugestions!

I believe I've seen on ads that some apartment complexes accept section 8. No idea if something's changed in the past 2 years, though.

Hello. I lived in the Marana Apartments for a year. Rent price goes by income. I was paying 371 a month at the 40th percentile for a 2 bd/1 ba (900 sq. ft.). The complex was always well kept, great neighbors, quiet, and the manager was nice. Hope this helps!

You have a contact phone # for this apt complex near Marana?

There are 2 Maran apts I know of and their rent is sky-high (Near Silverbell & Cortaro).
