Hello!
What do folks in Green Valley do for emergency medical care? Is there a local squad?
Thanks!

I went to the Sahuarita northwest hospital when I required some emergency medical care. I am thankful that it is there!

We go to the local hospital's ER if we can transport ourselves. We call 911 for an ambulance to the hospital if we cannot transport ourselves.

There is a contracted EMT service that works along with the Green Valley Fire Department. In general, emergency units in Green Valley will transport you to any of the Tucson hospitals including Carondelet St. Marys, Tucson Medical Center, both Banner hospitals and Northwest Hospital in Oro Valley. If your condition requires the services of a Level 1 trauma center, you will be transported to Banner University South on Ajo Rd.

While Northwest Hospital has a facility in Sahuarita, do realize that the facility has 14 beds and has very limited services. In the case of a serious emergency like a heart attack, you will be heading on to Tucson.

I hope that helps.
