Not really much to add to what is in the video. If I find out what happened on the freeway, I will be sure to update this post. Also, this rain event we got is was from the storms battering California that you may have seen on the news. Merry Christmas to all and wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year as well!!!

You sure have that right tijlover! Most reports I have seen range from 1.5" to a few with 2" and even one reporting 3"!!! It was just a nice steady rain that soaked in and did not just run off.

Here is some info on the I-19 incident from Dan Shearer, the editor of our local "Green Valley News" paper. " I did some digging and I believe this is incident number I23073874. This was a single-vehicle collision that was reported just south of Continental Road at approximately 0404 hours in the morning on December 22nd. With the timing of the video at about 0424 hours and all the emergency personnel already on scene, that timeline and the location make sense to the description you gave and the description on the video. "

"A caller reported the small sedan was driving very erratically before it finally swerved off the road and collided with the trees in the median. Both AZDPS and PCSO responded as well as the fire department. Upon arrival on scene, the driver was never located. The vehicle was towed due to damage as well as being abandoned in the median. I do not have any information as to whether the identity of the driver was ever found out or what follow-up has been conducted, although it is standard procedure for investigators to attempt to determine who the driver was and why the vehicle was abandoned."
