Hello all and nice talking with you. Im interested in knowing if anyone is in this industry. Im from NY, Long Island and am a Beautician. can anyone tell me about the salarys they give. Can I make a decent living in Tucson on a hairdressers salary. ? Do the salons make you work long days? And how about working in nursing homes doing hair. Any info. would help me. Thank you.

Check out Gadabouts - locally owned and very upscale.
As far a benefits goes, you might find a bit of satisfaction
at Beauty Brands on LaCholla , across the street from Foothills Mall.
There's a myriad of senior independent living centers - Desert Pointe (I think that's its name?)
at Pusche Ridge/La Reserve might be the most upscale; it's on Oracle Road in Oro Valley.
Hope those give you a starting point for your search.
Best wishes & welcome to Tucson.

I always go to Gadabout. There are a few different locations around Tucson. The hair-dressers are very professional, and do a great job!!
