Dang it! I knew that was incomplete somehow.

I liked your post very much about innocence and idealism (yeah, I know, it was tongue in cheek, but I liked it anyway). Reminded me of a quote in a novel that I liked a lot about prolonged innocence (seems it was speaking of its damaging effects), but could not find it, even with this internet thing.

Think it was from a Maugham novel (but coulda been Barth), but cannot be sure, and I've moved so many times, I ended up throwing away a bunch of books.

Hey, with a memory like mine, everything seems brand new still
