I went to firestone today. Even a diagnosis they wanted to charge $100. I left then. Any good service with reasonable price you can suggest? Will they be open tomorrow? Thanks!

I know they won't be open tonight anymore, but I trust Japanese Unlimited (before he passed in 06, my uncle owned it, and a great guy bought it) or Stuttgart Autohaus.

I've been trusting my Pride and Joy with Buck's Automotive (520 292-0905) on First Avenue just south of Wetmore since moving to Tucson ten years ago.

Quality and Honesty is a rarity in Vehicle Repair Shops . . . Buck's gets my vote!

Good Luck, Kevinsuper!

Reminds me of the guys at Five Points automotive, downtown. For decades their shop motto was: "UGLY, But Honest!"

In fact, I believe they may still be in business.

And as far as Diagnostic, I believe JU charges $60, but then that $60 gets credited back to the car repair costs once they diagnose what's wrong with it. I believe the same is for Stuttgart, but not sure on the price.

Hmmm... I personally never really noticed, but if THEY say so, it MUST be so, right?

JU specialize s in Subaru (well my uncle did when he was alive) but they do great work on any brand. Did work on my Chevy as well as my Subaru.

Stuttgart specializes in Euro.
