The area near La Encantada is a very upscale neighborhood with an average income of $65,000 a year according to the Arizona Daily Star, and very beautiful houses and condos. Pricing of these residential buildings can run between $800-$1500 monthly (depending on the apartment and how many bedrooms you want) Please shop around before moving. Crime in the area is NOT as bad as Tucson, some little problems have been reported, but the La Encantada area is a very good place to live.

Yup. We spent 2 weeks in condo just 100 yards or so east of La Encantada on Skyline and absolutely LOVED the area. Very nice, very clean, very safe, very upscale - and with beautiful views both north up into the Catalina's and south down across the city of Tucson. We would stay in the area again in a heartbeat.
