The reason for my questions concerns our citrus trees. It's getting close to the time they need to be fertilized, but I've heard you should put off fertilizing until after the last freeze.

Well, just wait till mid-March then to be on the safe side. Not that we didn't get snow on Easter in April one year.

Should all the fruit be cut off the citrus trees by now? I left some fruit on the trees, because they still had a little green on them and they were very firm.

There has only been 1 freeze officially recorded at the airport this year. That was on January 28 when it hit 31.
