I'll be moving away from Tucson in less than 3 weeks and I wanted to take as many photos before I leave to remind me of the beautiful surroundings and the good times I had here. Can anyone give me suggestions of what to take photos of? What is Tucson? If you opened a book about Tucson, what would you want to see? (I know some people hate it here but I only want to take away good memories). Thanks

I would suggest The University, and maybe the mountains, the best shot of the downtown area, and the zoo.

Hey, Tamzyn, I know you can only take so many photos in 3 weeks, but if you go to Flickr, there are tons of photos that others have taken of the area to remind of the place.

These are pretty awesome. Check these out:

Your post was in 2009 and now it is 2013. I left Tucson back in the 80s and have missed it everyday since.
Tucson in my opinion was the greatest place to live. Not just because it was so beautiful but also because
the people were laid back and they knew how good they had it out there - no pretensions - at least not in
my crowd.

I had to leave Tucson last July, I miss it every day and if I ever get the chance to move back I will. Tucson is unique, laid back and incredibly gorgeous. Tucson is home.
